WE SHARE OUR JUICE
when I was younger I would make up random things in my head. I heard of blood transfusions and my weird mind was like “okay so our blood is our juice and we need all of it to live. If someone falls and loses too much juice I can go to the doctor and have them take out some of my juice and put it in that other person so that they have a good amount and will be okay” I was a really weird kid. I was fascinated by this.
My 4 yr old nephew asked about organ donation and blood transfusion because an add about it came on on the radio and he is basically me in boy form. After me and my sister explained what organ donation and blood donation was, using the correct terms like “blood and organs” he said “WE CAN SHARE OUR JUICE”
I looked at my sister like 😎 he take after me don’t he. I was always the weird one and she was the popular outgoing one and here this child is, weird like me. Love it.
We explained the organ donation thing as “sometimes people’s body’s are sick and the organs inside stop working well and they need new ones. So some people donate their own organs to someone else who needs them” he said “momma if your belly stops working I will give you mine”
