My birth story

While my lil man is sleeping 😴 I thought I will write my birth story too quickly.

My due date was 14 th January but was supposed to see doctor on 17th to discuss induction date....

However I was really tired during this morning and wanted to have the baby between 39 to 40 weeks...so by the end of 38th week I started climbing stairs 100 times per day and 40 minutes walk....

On Saturday evening (12th January) I started having contractions 10 minutes apart...so I called L & D they said they are really busy so they wanted me to eat pain killers...

My partner said it’s a good idea you will be able to get whole night sleep so we will go to the hospital next morning (13th January)...I was like ok... I had painkiller at 12 am and I still had the contractions till 4:40 am after that they stopped so then I had a sleep from 4:40 to 11:00 am

My contractions started again at 8:30 pm

Called hospital and mentioned I am coming and my contractions are 5 minutes apart which were actually 10 minutes apart...I also lost mucus plug

Reached hospital by 10:30 pm....nurse said I am 3 cm so they decided to admit me

Till 1:30 am I started having really bad contractions as if I had to push the baby... I was screaming and shivering ...my nurse wanted to check me but I couldn’t let her touch me as I was in lots of pain ... I was begging for epidural by 1 pm already so I got one by 2 am

At 2:30 am I allowed the nurse to check me she said I am 9cm already so she will wait for the water break all by its own

Water broke at 3:00 ...nurse said at 5 am we will practice pushing...

Mind you during this whole labor I just had only one nurse around me

Apparently she was the only exprencied and clever nurse in the hospital so I was feeling lucky not to show my private parts to the whole hospital but just one clever nurse

But then on the same time for other 3 labor’s which were going on at the same time were keep calling her...and I was like I need my nurse back...

Anyway I practised pushing my baby from 5 am to 6:30 am but baby was moving really slowly to the area..

So at 6:30 ob came in made 2 degree cut and with the help of vaccum my baby boy is born

So happy to see him

After the cut and delivery had to wait for an hour for the doctor to come back to stitch me up...

I am happy that I went from 3 cm to 9cm quickly...and also happy that opted for epidural because the way I had contractions and I was pushing all by its own I would have a major tear 👇 hope you all are doing well and have easy labor
