Paragard insertion on lunch break?

I'm getting the paragard inserted on Wed at 3p during my lunch break at work... I really wanted to have the day to relax & have my SO hold my hand but that's not an option.
What was your recovery time, and experience after getting the IUD inserted?

With mine I definitely had a lot of painful cramping afterwards. Just be prepared with some pads, pain meds, and maybe some instant hot packs. Everyone’s body reacts differently so if you have to be at work just be prepared.

I went to work for a full 8 hours after mine and was fine

My Mirena IUD mostly caused me horrible cramps for a day. Definitely couldn’t do anything for most of that day...

After mine was inserted, I was nauseous and puked twice that day, along with suffering through the worst cramps of my life. Felt terrible for 2 days, then had some mild cramps for a few more and then was pretty much back to normal. I absolutely am glad I wasn't at work that day though.

It helped having my SO hold my hand but the other time he wasnt there and I got through it. I went to work the same day. I had bad cramps for 2 weeks but then they went away.
