Thoughts on Zofran?

I’m 13w exactly and morning sickness had decrease but seems to have come back swinging. Doctor recommended i take Zofran since I’ve already lost 10 pounds but I’m worried about birth defects. Have any of you taken it?

Stay away dont take it they have somthing safer and better back feed its B6 and Unisom much safer and works wonders i stayed away from Zofran not safe anymore dont want to take the chance

I’ve taken zofran with my last 5 pregnancy’s and am still currently taking it a few days a week at almost 15 weeks ive never had an issue with it in the past or currently all are happy healthy kids... my dr still prescribes it but only after trying b6 or unisom+ b6 first.... neither has ever worked for me just made me groggy which isn’t a good thing while chasing 8 kids around a house :/

I took Zofran during my first pregnancy for extreme morning sickness and it was a lifesaver. I wasn’t thrilled to take a pill either so I saved it for the days I really needed it and the days I could just tough it out at home I did. My son is now three years old and perfectly healthy!

I personally try not to take anything, even cold medicine while pregnant. 
But with my 2 child, i got a really bad stomach virus at 35w and i vomited 2 times in like 5-6h. I couldn’t keep anything down and my body was still trying to vomit even when there was nothing there. Doctor had me go into the hospital because she was there currently making rounds and prescribed zofran. I was there for a few hours and i think i had 2 doses. She also prescribed some for home but i never filled the prescription. I know it was a different situation and mine was only short term but my son is perfect, no effects 🤷🏻‍♀️
Some say, it can cause defects, some say it doesnt. I think a big factor is the timing during your pregnancy that you take it. But if you are really worried about, talk about it with your OB, maybe she can give you better info
