Anyone with herpes one that could educate me from experience?

The topic says it all, I recently been told I have herpes one after that they told me to schedule an appointment with my gynecologist but it isn’t until the end of this month.

I have always tested negative for any STDs. I have been with my fiance for 3 years. He is clean. I have not slept with anyone else. So a year and a half ago I had a random bump appear on my labia and it turn into a little blister and it hurt extremely bad.  I went to the doctor and she swapped it and it came back that it was HSV 1.   I really freaked out on my fiance accusing him of cheating. My doctor informed me that herpes can be dormant for several years. It is not part of routine STD testing because the only time they can test for it is if you're having an outbreak. So it's likely that I got it from somebody else probably when I was a teenager and being dumb and I just never had it outbreak until right now.  She prescribed me Valtrex. I took the pills and it was gone. Havent had another one since. My fiance has not had an outbreak either.   My doctor told me that he cannot catch it from me unless I have an outbreak so if I have an outbreak we just can't be intimate until it goes away. As far as pregnancy goes she told me that once I get pregnant I will be taking valtrex everyday towards the end of pregnancy due to risk of me having an outbreak and during delivery the baby can become infected. But no issues since the one outbreak! And the doc also said that the first initial outbreak is always worse than any subsequent ones.

What exactly are you asking? What not to do? 
Stress will cause flare ups, don’t kiss while having an out break (sore), keep your mouth isolated from everything/everyone, don’t share drinks. Type 1 is very common, many people have it, you’ll be ok. Life goes on 😊

Don’t stress over it, it’s honestly no big deal you just have to discuss it with a sex partner before being active I have Herpes-2 it was scary telling my partner about it before we became active but it all worked out I also delivered a perfectly healthy baby so don’t think if you have it that you can’t have baby’s that’s something I was scared of also I never gave break outs and I forget that I have it at times it hasn’t really changed my life at all and the majority of people already have herpes-1 and don’t know about it trust me your not alone
