Kyleena IUD aftermath!

This post is for anyone wondering about the IUD Kyleena. I had mine inserted 5 days ago, insertion went well, i went in extremely nervous and panicky! My doctor helped me out with that by telling me don’t listen to google ! We went along with the procedure, when your OB asks you to cough, just know that’s when the pinch will happen! Pain scale when inserting... 9/10. Hurt soooo bad! After she was done she let me sit for a while and i had a cramp that decreased and eventually disappeared after 45 minutes! I did what was asked with the pill 24 hours prior to the procedure and did take 1,500 mg of Tylenol an hour before aswell. Then she gave me 800 mg of Advil after.

She told me i wasn’t allowed intercourse or orgasm for 5 days, or the device could move..

I had a cramp today but went away with time, the last time i took medication was when i had it inserted so needless to say it’s been going great for me.

Not excited for this first period though! Will update on how it goes.

Edit: it’s been 11 days and i have been cramping since i woke up. Worse cramps ever. And spotting... might be on my period..... IDK!

It’s been 18 days and my period started a week early, awful awful cramps.....
