What would you do if you visited a friend who just had a baby and their house stinks like weed?

Do you think it’s better for the children to be raised in foster care than with your friend who might smoke weed? I would only do it if it’s hard drugs and children are in danger. Not if it’s only weed.

It’s weed lol ... lm just curious to know what you think is so bad about it that would make anyone think calling cps is a good idea? 
I can think of other things that loads of people have in their homes that are a lot worse... prescription drugs, alcohol, cigarettes

While I don’t agree with smoking weed around kids at all, nowadays everybody does this as if it’s like having a glass of wine after dinner. Like it’s so harmless. I’d tell me friend it’s kinda fucked up imo and see how often they actually do it... cps would be called if they are doing it every day, 3+ times a day or just constantly like that... idk

Maybe it’s not her smoking the weed...perhaps someone else in the house uses it for medicinal purposes....not that I agree with the house stinking while there is a new baby inside but...my brother was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and uses marijuana to ease pain and other associated symptoms. He has the oil which smells very potent but it’s not smoke and it’s not harmful to others unless inhaled or ingested. Just a thought...

Definately talk to your friend. These people saying weed is harmless ummmm NO!!! SMOKING is SMOKING. Smoking ANYTHING around baby in the house is bad for that babys lungs!!! Smoke your freaking weed outside away from your babys lungs. I would not call CPS. Bad idea. But do talk to your friend about the dangers of smoking around her baby.

It’s legal in many states and has many medicinal benefits aka why people get their medical cards. I doubt she would continue to be your friend if you were harsh to her and definitely not if you call cps. I think alcohol and cigarettes are way worse.

CPS Rarely does anything for weed. They will do a home visit but they aren’t going to take children away unless there is a true danger beyond weed. In many of the cases where the mom cries “they took my baby away over weed” is not true. There is usually more to the story. Yes each state varies but in most cases there isn’t enough foster homes available to take the kids away. CPS will have the family on there radar and have and action plan for them but I highly highly doubt the child will actually be taken away.  Sadly I know this from personal experience with my SIL who has more issues than just weed.
