Super confused

I researched about implantation and read that it usually occurs 9 days after ovulation but I ovulated on the 3rd and got a positive hpt on the 10th, 7 days after ovulation. It says HCG isn’t produced until ovulation occurs, so does this mean the app was wrong and I didn’t conceive on the 3rd?
