Is it normal to occasionally have a period that lasts a day longer than your usual flow? I’m supposed to be done with my period today and I still have a light flow. I occasionally have 6 day periods but... I don’t know I’m panicking thinking I have an STD and I know I don’t 😞

Answer

It’s common and normal for periods to not be exactly the same month to month. If your period is normally 5 days and is 4 days or 6 days one month, that isn’t normally concerning. Very few people have an “exactly 5 day, not an hour more or less, period every single month”. 
If your period changed drastically (like normally 3 days became 8 days), that might be indicative of something concerning. But a period that is 1 day longer than usual is normally just fine unless you have other symptoms.
