TMI, brown discharge with dark specks.

Hello all, so to start I did go to the ER where a culture was performed and I was cleared for all that they tested for, they said I had BV ( bacterial vaginosis ) and they found another bacteria that was close to BV as well but that flagyl the medicine they prescribed would take care of it. I’ve been off and on with the meds due to their side effects which when I take I mainly get headaches. I’ve been having a brownish discharge for about a week now it has no odor, I also have irregular periods. Can anyone help me out? Is this normal? My period? Or pregnancy related. we haven’t been TTC at the moment.
