Not part of the plan

Jocelyn • Wifey, expecting our March Baby Boy in February👶🏻💙

My pregnancy has been pretty awesome up until my week 30 checkup. I was scheduled for an ultrasound for week 32 to measure growth as my fundal height is measuring ~3 weeks ahead. I found out that baby boy is about 5lbs and in the 90th percentile. I have also tested negative for diabetes. Swabs are being done week 35 as well as a repeat growth ultrasound.

I straight up asked by Doctor what this meant for me going forward as I am 33 weeks today, and am I most likely headed towards an cesarean. She said based on the next scan my two options would be being induced week 39 and try to have baby vaginally, or opting for an elective cesarean. This is our first baby and she advised me that theres a possibility that baby may not fit out my pelvis if I deliver vaginally.

I come home bawling my eyes out, as this is was totally not part of our birth plan, but I am so glad my Doctor was upfront.

At the end of the day, I know what to expect and I just want a safe arrival for our possibly gigantic son 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Our March 6th baby just became a February baby 💙
