I’m a physical therapist assistant and when I went on maternity leave my position got eliminated due to the hospital going bankrupt and downsizing.

I got a new position I’m supposed to start on the 22nd but I also have an interview scheduled for a different position on the 21st.

My question is, if I get offered the other job and I decide it would be better for our family (more flexible hours, benefits, pay) how do I tell the employers for the job I’ve already accepted that I won’t be starting with them (when I’m supposed to start the next day!) 😩
