I know that when baby is born, I won't be returning to work. At first I thought about not telling my job that part so that they would think it's just maternity leave and I can still have insurance for those few weeks after birth. While my job is easily replaceable and we have other people trained to help already, I get that it's not ideal to make them think I'll be coming back.

How did you mamas handle the situation when deciding to stay home? I don't normally go to the doctor, and baby will be put on my husband's insurance, but I figured I would need to have some sort of after birth check up? Thanks for any advice!
