Most losses occur before twelve weeks, so if you're wanting to avoid sharing bad news, it's best to post after twelve weeks. However, some couples find they would rather have the support of their loved ones during the event of a loss. We kept my first pregnancy a secret "just in case" something happened before 12 weeks. Well it did--I had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks, at our first appointment. It was extremely hard to go through that loss without anyone even knowing and without their support. For my second pregnancy, we decided to tell everyone right away and asked for their prayers and support. That baby is now almost 2. :)

Whenever you feel comfortable. Some people post right away, others wait to hear a heartbeat, others wait till the first trimester is over. I really want to announce on Halloween cuz I have a cute picture all picked out but I don't know if I can make it that long 😁

We're going to announce to facebook on Halloween, but we're going to tell close friends and family after our first appointment on Sept 25th.  I've been googling Halloween pregnancy announcements and they're so cute!

We'll be announcing on Facebook around 8 weeks. We live 15 hours away from loved ones, so it we want to have the support of our friends & family after the first appointment.
