UPDATE
Side note/
I told my husband in December I had a dream he bought a house with stained glass windows. I said it would be two story with a basement.
WELL
After this post was made, we decided on neither of the houses we were previously interested in. They weren’t it.
I looked up realty, and we viewed a house. Gorgeous bones. Victorian. But— it was severely neglected by the owners. As in, moisture on the walls. Hoarders. It was such a shame. It has so much promise. But it would have taken us half a year to move in
Sooo..
My husband and I went to view another Victorian. Huge wrap around porch. HUGE YARD. Near the schools (both are located down the street we live on):. TEN minutes from my husbands work, verses the hour he drives now. Wrap around old gravel driveway. Fireplace. Full basement. Two stories. Crazily enough, stained glass windows.
It was always my dream to live in a Victorian or farm house- and, it’s a combination of both.
My husband HAS wanted to move since we met, we discussed a different state.. but his career isn’t one that offers a lot of options throughout the country. Or he wanted something in the country, but we kept running into walls when we viewed houses. So even though this is IN town, it has a huge yard, and we only have one neighbor on one side of us- the empty lot beside us is INCLUDED!
We both fell in love online when I showed him it, but we went to view it... and just felt in our hearts, this was our home.
We put an offer in, and they accepted! The paperwork is being drawn out, and well have to come up with the down payment.. but oh my heart. I cried. My darling husband, got me my dream house.
