Question

I’m 5’3 , 235 pounds . I have to do IUI to get pregnant. I’m worried  that the IUI won’t work because I’m obese .   Or I’m worried if I do get pregnant I won’t look pregnant at all because of my size. 😞

I was about 160lbs when I had IUI multiple times because my ex had a low sperm count. I’m now 245 lbs and with a new man and I got pregnant naturally within 4 months. I think what makes it hard for larger women to get pregnant is if they have pcos which makes it hard for any woman of any size to conceive.

I'm 5'4 and 230. Im currently 6+2 and it took us 6 months to conceive. Your weight doesn't necessarily have much to do with conceiving. A lot has to do with healthy life choices. Don't stress yourself 😊 It is possible!

I'm 5'3 and at my last Dr appt I was 260#. I started talking prenatal vitamins and got pregnant in the first month. I have severe asthma and can't workout more than slow walking and yoga and I'm terrified that I'm going to have even more breathing difficulties throughout the pregnancy. My Dr said to only gain 15-20# if I can. I eat incredibly heathy and don't eat very many calories every day. I know I'm not going to look pregnant got awhile and I've accepted it but I just pray that it's healthy no matter what I look like.

I was 225 lbs when we TTC and in a year I got depressed because I thought I couldn't have babies so I ended up gaining weight and I ended up being 260lbs when we conceived. The thing that worked for us was to track your temperature every morning. Use the OvuView app and the Fertility Friend app to input your temperature and mark sure you have a thermometer that has a .00 to track it. I needs to be every morning at the same time. The Fertility Friend app has a nifty chart that shows exactly when you ovulate. I like both apps for different reasons and they both showed my ovulation on different days so I'm not sure which one was more accurate but I recommend both. You can definitely get pregnant, but if it has been more than a year, you and your partner should get tested. It may be him. Tracking your temperature is really the only way to figure out when you are ovulating. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Well from being in a group with other pregnant women, you can get pregnant being overweight for sure! Also, even some small women don’t look pregnant for a while and it’s just as hard for them as it is for us bigger girls. It really bothered me last week but this week I’m thankful I’m on track to only gain a healthy amount of weight. Im 19 weeks tomorrow and have only gained 2-3 pounds on a bad day. Stay positive!
