IDK... IUD?

Hey ladies!

I’m turning to the eve community to try and help me make a decision. I’m SOO sick of taking birth control. I’ve tried three kinds, one shot and two pills over the course of 7 years. I recently started taking “Camila” and it’s not suiting me well. I haven’t had my period in about two months now. I have a very hard time losing weight and it’s affecting my overall health.

Im considering an IUD, but I’m extremely skeptical. I HATE taking meds, my body is very sensitive, I couldn’t even keep ear piercings because they’d get rejected and constantly infected. So I feel like it might not be a great experience & I’m nervous it’ll fall out or just be a nightmare for me.

So, can anyone share their experience with an IUD? If I was to get one, I’m leaning toward the copper one. Do you feel the string? Does inserting tampons move it or the string?? I know someone who got one and it fell out.. it’s tough to decide based off anyone’s experience because everyone is different but my doctor is strictly against me not taking birth control for some unknown reason & I’m too young to get my tubes tied so I don’t even bother that route.
