Okay so doctor said to take prenatal vitamins before I get pregnant  to help prepare  , has anyone else taken them before they got pregnant  ? And while there pregnant  ?.

Im taking a prenatal with DHA & Folic Acid while TTC. I have to take them because i have to take seizure medication which can cause birth defects so its very important for me to already be taking prenatal because the TWW before you can even find out your pregnant your egg can be fertilized & then it implants so you are technically pregnant for 2 weeks before you evem know

I started taking them a couple of months before we started TTC and all while we were TTC. It is recommended because there are important developments in the baby that occur before you even know you're pregnant and you need the folic acid.

I started taking them when I first suspected I was pregnant but it was too early to get a positive test. Ended up being pregnant and I still take them. I'm glad I started taking them when I did :)

My obgyn told to start taking folic acid before getting pregnant (like about 6 months prior to getting pregnant)... And that my husband should start taking the same folic acid 3 months prior to get pregnant... The doctor told me that The prenatal vitamins are for when you found out you are pregnant...
