Please help me with my biology hw!!!

We are planning a lab where we have to find out what type of sugar the yeast likes the best. We have different tools to help us find out like example balloons, spoons and the regular lab tools. I have to use warm water to help me get the answer but I don’t understand.

Someone said that I have to use the balloons because the yeast has oxygen in it or something like that. PLEASE HELP ME THIS CAN HIGHER MY GRADE!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
