D & C 9 days ago and already ovulating (?)

I had a D & C on 1/9/19. I took an ovulation test today at 11 am and I had a very positive LH surge.
I'm not going to try again so soon considering the fragile nature of my loss.
What is going on? Is this for real? How is this possible? Is it just hormones? Has this happened to anyone else?

I’m sorry for your loss, hon. You can ovulate at anytime after a miscarriage.

Could be hormones? I had a d&c almost 2 weeks ago and I’m still testing positive on pregnancy tests, have you had your hcg tested to make sure it’s back to 0? Not sure if you can ovulate until numbers have gone back down?

When I had a D&C the doctor asked me if I was trying again and I said no. They asked if I wanted birth control and I said no. They said, very bluntly, “well, if you’re not on birth control we will probably see you pregnant next month.” They said you can sometimes be more fertile after a miscarriage.

I have to have a D&C. Is there anything I should know before hand or what to expect? Im worried. Ive never had one. This is my 5th miscarriage:(
