Been asked to take part in a study

So yesterday I received our letter for out booking in and first scan. Along with the paper work was a letter asking that if I fit criteria at the booking in would I take part in a study the hospital are currently carrying out.

They want to see that if a blood test taken during first trimester can help them identify those who will go on to develop gestational diabetes and therefore allow them to put measures in place to stop any complications the condition can cause to the baby and mum before they start.

We will also get an extra scan at 28 weeks.
