My grandpa keep messaging me saying “your grandmother misses you very much. You and *boyfriend’s name here* are always welcome to stop by to visit your grandmother whenever. She would love that.

I have issues with this, because they don’t EVER message anyone else in my family. Not my dad (his dad and mom), not my mom, and not my brother. They never even try to message them about all of US stopping by, just me. I don’t want to be in the middle of all this family drama, and I know they only want me to visit so they can convince me to go live with my aunt (my grandmas sister) for college, HOURS away from everyone I know, to go to some school I can’t afford, even though I’m moving in with my boyfriend THIS YEAR for college. I understand I could go to some amazing school, but I’m happy about where I’m going, and I WANT to move in with my boyfriend, because we’ve been talking about it for 3 years now, and we FINALLY have the money to do it. I don’t need them lecturing me. I’m a grown legal adult who can make decisions on her own.
