Breastfeeding and Fertility?

Question

How soon did you start TTC while breastfeeding and how successful were you at it?
How soon did AF come?
I have so many questions but I can only find little to no personal experiences!
I just had my LO in December and I am exclusively breastfeeding. I eventually want to ttc (not any time soon), but I don’t know when my fertility will come back.

It really depends. My period came back art like 8 months, but I know someone else who of didn't come back until like 15 months when her daughter totally stopped breastfeeding.

I’m 18 months postpartum with no period right now. My period comes and goes based on how much my baby nurses, especially at night. I’m TTC but don’t think it s gonna happen soon. She nurses EVERYtime she gets a chance. I had to completely weaned my son from breastfeeding at night for me to have my period and even ovulate 3 months later; I di is ovulation test. I then got pregnant with her. Now back to struggling between breastfeeding and TTC

Wasn't trying but . .    I was exclusively breastfeeding and got pregnant 3 months postpartum! So I have Irish twins. Baby was due on his brothers 1st birthday but came two weeks late. :)

I had my daughter in September 2017 and exclusively breastfed, introduced solids around 5 months and my period returned when I was 7 months pp. We began ttc shortly after that and we conceived when she was 9 months old, my cycle had just regulated. I did use ovulation kits though and my ovulation was way later than predicted. I was still breastfeeding regularly through the day and occasionally at night

After my first my period returned 5 months postpartum, and we started trying again shortly after that. Conceived within 3 cycles using OPKs.
