No heartbeat?

So I had my second prenatal today at 13 weeks, the doctor spent 1/2 with Doppler and couldn’t pick up the heartbeat. Of course with a previous mussed miscarriage at 12 weeks I have a lot of anxiety now. 
Is this common not to find heartbeat at 13  weeks?

Mine always do an ultrasound right away if they can’t pick up the heartbeat with the doppler.

It’s not common but it’s also not necessarily a problem. Sometimes the midwife just can’t find the right position with it. I think they should have referred you to the hospital so they can do it with the help of a scan and let you know what’s happening after your appointment. I hope everything’s ok x

At my 13 weeks appointment my OB couldn’t find a heartbeat either. So she grabbed her portable ultrasound out and we seen baby with heartbeat just a beating away. 
I’m now 14 weeks 3 days and I can find it on my home Doppler.

I’m not sure- I found my sons at ten weeks. Did they order an ultrasound ?

It’s very common not to find a heart beat that early, I know when I did mine at home it could take 30mins plus some days and other times I couldn’t find it at all.

Both my pregnancies they found no heartbeat at 12/13 weeks using a Doppler, but ultrasound confirmed everything was fine.
