Will 2nd delivery still be quicker if 1st was 12yrs ago?

Ok, I couldn’t find the answer on the all knowing interwebs, so here I am. I found blogs about 3rds, 4ths, etc. years apart, but none about baby #2 over 10yrs apart.

My brother and I are 12 years apart. I was her first and she was in labor for 12 hours. My brother was only 5 hours. So yes its possible.

With my first I was induced at 41 weeks. My labor lasted 6 hours. Fast  forward 5 Year’s, my water broke at 38 weeks 3 days. My contractions did not really progress so I to go on pitiocin. Total time from water breaking to birth 19 hours. But not hard labor. 
So it was not 10 Year’s, but my second was longer. I think my first would have been longer, but with the induction I was given pitiocin right away, do I feel that is why it was shorter.

My mom had my brother in 1 hour, my sister in 3 hours and me in 24 hours so for some women it gets longer.

My kids are 10 years apart. I was in labor longer with my second than my first.

I was told by my doctor that after 5 years your body resets itself and is like it’s never been pregnant before (He was recommending I don’t wait 5 years between live births because of my type 1 diabetes). So while it may be possible for some women, it may not be for all. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would say yes it's likely your second labor will be faster. Your body's done it before whether it's 1 or 10 years, it still has an idea of what it's doing.
