High TSH and successful pregnancy?
Hi everyone, I just got a positive HPT last week at 9 DPO. I immediately scheduled a blood draw with my reproductive endocrinologist to test for HCG, progesterone, and TSH.
I've had 2 miscarriages since April and have hypothyroidism. I had my medication increased after each miscarriage because it was over the recommended limit of 2.5. As of October, my TSH came down to 2.
I just learned that my TSH is 8. I'm shocked and upset. They're immediately increasing my dosage to 150 mcg to 200 mcg, but I'm worried it's going to be too late, as the medication takes 4 weeks to fully take effect. I'll be at 8 weeks then.
My progesterone and HCG levels were high and I go back to have those tested again tomorrow.
Has anyone in this group had a TSH level that high in their first trimester and had a successful pregnancy?
Thanks in advance.
