Hey there I am a FtM and very paranoid about making visitors get their TDAP. My MIL is suspicious of doctors and the govt. and I’m afraid she is going to refuse to get vaccinated. She is also suppose to be our full time nanny in August when I go back to work. I told Hubby that she can not be our nanny unless she has TDAP and MMR vaccines. And he doesn’t seem to think it’s as important as me. His sister didn’t make anyone get vaccinated when she had her baby so he thinks I’m over reacting. I told him if she doesn’t get vaccinated I’m willing to pay outrageous prices for daycare, that’s how important I think it is.

And I over reacting? Or is this actually as important at I think it is? I mean I trust my doctors and this is what they have recommended...

First of all thank you so much for the support! You all make me feel like I am doing the right thing and I appreciate all the feedback! However my friends and family are making me feel like I am over reacting.

I have been texting friends and family that have had babies in the last year to year and a half and all of them seemed to not care! Most of them said their husbands aren’t even vaccinated for TDAP?!? And they didn’t ask family to get vaccinated?? What is going on? Is it just everyone in my area who thinks it’s not worth risking my kids life? Or is this really not a big deal?!? I’m so confused by everyone. So you all are helping, but everyone else I’m talking to are confusing me 😣
