Question

Have you used epidurals in any of your pregnancies?? If so, What were your experiences?? Have you ever planned on using them but then changed your mind? If so, did you change your mind before labor or during labor? I’ve used epidurals in both of my pregnancies and possibly plan to use it again with this one.. not sure yet.
If you haven’t used it at all or don’t ever plan to, you can comment as well.

I didn’t have one and won’t for the next one. I liked the freedom to move around as I wanted, I’m not good at sitting still 😂

This is my first. And the epidural is mostly what I am scared of. Those contractions are gonna have to kill me for me to let them put that thing in my back! I am so scared. 😞 But he will be so worth it.

This is my third, I have never and will never use an epidural or any other pain medication. I'm not a tree hugger but I know it's important to actually feel your body during birth. Also I do not trust these meds, for all we know they might find out it's bad for the baby 10 years from now. So nope, no pain meds for me. I prefer a nice soft and warm birthing pool, that's all I need :)

If I for some reason have to get induced, I most likely will because it makes your contractions worse from what I’ve heard. But I’m hoping I can go naturally and try my hardest without the epidural 🤞🏼 just the thought of not being able to move my legs or leave the bed makes my anxiety go crazy lol

I’ve had 6 unmedicated births. I enjoyed having my freedom, being able to feel everything, being able to walk and change positions and bounce on the ball. I also enjoyed that immediately after delivery, I was up and walking and whatnot. You honestly couldn’t pay me to get an epidural.

I’m on my second pregnancy.  I told everyone I didn’t want an epidural but I would be open to it if I changed my mind during labor.
Man those contractions were painful but I didn’t.  And I’m glad I didn’t.  Once labor was over, the pain was totally gone and I was back to myself.  No side effects from meds or drowsiness.  Meanwhile, I have a friend who gave birth just two weeks after me and she had back pain for months because of her epidural.

I've had two epidurals. I had a good experience both times and will get another for this delivery. My second my daughter was coming quicker than I thought and it didn't kick in fully until after she was born. But I have nothing had to say about it. The contractions were wayyy worse than the needle personally

I didn't with my first, and wint with this one either.   I want as little intervention as possible, mainly because I dont like being restricted. Also, knowing that I did it once without one, makes me confident that I can do it again.

This is my first & I plan to go all natural. I wouldn’t want to labor in one position, I want to have some freedom.
Also I’m a cancer survivor & I had 12 spinal taps, which is a bigger needle but in the same spot. That’s keeping me from getting something in that spot. 
I beat cancer, I can do this. I want my body to do its thing ! ❤️
