There is no way I’d have that big needle jammed into my back when my body was designed to deal with childbirth on its own.

I have had 6 unmedicated births. You could not pay me to get an epidural.

My first I had epidural and it worked okay (made me throw up) I got to the hospital at a 10 after laboring at home for 24 hrs and was told I couldn’t get anything but after she didn’t drop for 5 hours they finally met me have it
My 2nd I had a spinal block after getting to the hospital also dilated to a 10 and they said that’s all they could give me. Best labor and delivery even before pain meds 3 1/2 labor 
3rd was also a 3 1/2 hr labor no pain meds and was by far worst labor and delivery. His head was nearly 25 inches so I’m sure that’s why. I was also walking around at 6 cm before active labor for weeks 
My 4th I had an epidural (was dilated to a 7 before active labor) and it didn’t take. The nurses said since my labor was 53 mins and I went so fast that it didn’t work.each experience is so different. My 2nd baby I could’ve easily done without meds

I labored for 18 hours and I was only dilated to a 5 and my cervix was swollen so dr recommended an epidural to help me relax. I got one and slept for 3 hours and when I woke up I was dilated to a 10. Best decision ever. Pushed for 30 minutes (epidural had worn off by then) and baby was born!

With my first, as the not feeling anything during pushing .. it was great ... but couldnt tell if I was pushing or not and I made no progress in baby coming out. Took a good while. 
My second time, was great ... felt absolutely nothing AND I was able to push my baby out in 5 seconds.

Accidentally natural, baby came too fast for the epidural. I was actually in the middle of pushing when the anesthesiologist came in the room all ready to save my day. I survived and the birthing part ended up being pretty easy compared to the recovery from tears so I hope to deliver my 2nd without the epidural too.

I did natural because I have a history of kidney stones and was told the pain is similar... definitely not lol but I am proud of myself for letting my body do its thing naturally. Can’t say I would do it the second time around though, it was pretty rough. Thankfully I was only in labor for 10hrs and my midwife was with me the whole time, I got so lucky.
