38 weeks NO PROGRESS!

This is baby number 3 for me, today when I was checked at my appointment my doctor told me I’m not dilated or effaced at all! My first baby came on her due date on her own, my second I was finally induced at 41 weeks and 5 days! I really don’t want to end up overdue again especially since the doctor is saying at my growth scan today the baby is already about 8 pounds! I have regular painful contractions they just don’t last more than two hours. Has anyone else been through this? I’m terrified I’m going to need a C-section if I go all the way to my due date.
