Scheduled C-Section?

Can someone tell me the whole process of a scheduled c-section? From the time you get to the hospital to the time you are about to have the surgery..

Where I work-
You get changed into a gown, put on the monitor for an NST, IV started, admission questions asked. A doctor or physician assistant sees you, as well as someone from anesthesia. You sign some paperwork. 
When it’s time and everyone is ready we bring you back to the OR and you sit on the table to get a spinal, then you lay down with a wedge under you so you’re not flat on your back. They put a catheter in your bladder, stockings on your legs, and cover you with a sterile drape. Then you meet your baby!

So you won’t be able to eat or drink anything after midnight. When you get to the hospital you’ll be taken to your room, get in a gown and you’ll get hooked up to the monitor to make sure baby looks good. You’ll get asked a whole bunch of questions to get your admission done, get a IV and blood drawn, you have fluids running to keep you hydrated, sign consents to have the c section. If you haven’t shaved near where your incision will be your nurse will trim you, you’ll have SCDs put on your lower legs( they pump on and off to prevent blood clots). Anesthesia will come talk to you. Once everyone is ready you’ll take a shot of this sour medicine called bicitra and you’ll get antibiotics to reduce your risk of infection. They’ll probably have you walk into the OR and they’ll do your spinal. After that your nurse will but a catheter in, they will prep your belly and then call everyone in to get started :) I’m a labor and delivery nurse so let me know if you have any questions

Pretty much what everyone else had said. But depends on country and hospital. I had gown stockings cathether and iv put in before i went in. Had them on/in for 4 hours beforehand
