Any recommendations? She has eczema and I can’t seem to get it under control. This is the first time she had a breakout this bad. Any suggestions on products we should use ?

I would definitely take her to the doctors. It looks like she needs a steroid cream to get the redness under control, then a good moisturising cream several times a day. I use dermol cream on my daughter.

We have appointments set up. Neither of the departments have any appointments available until March and April. But they said they would call me if anything becomes available before then. We have been using the stuff prescribed by her pediatrician. We tried a oatmeal bath last night and that’s how it looked this morning. We only bath her in Aveno eczema and we also lotion her down in the eczema once a day. We have only used baby dreft detergent since we found out she had eczema. The dermatologist said that eczema can be triggered by dairy. So I think we are gonna try to stay away from dairy. She had a lot of sour cream and milk the day before the bad outbreak so I think that’s why this happened. Thanks everyone !

I agree with the PP a doctor can give you steroid cream to treat that. Also an oatmeal bath can help calm the skin. A moisturizer for dry sensitive skin. Avoid detergents with strong scents that can irritate it. I’ve had eczema since I was born and sometimes it’s worse that others. Change of seasons tend to be bad for me. Also dry air like when the heating is on in the winter.

Definitely go see the doctor to get an eczema cream to heal that. I grew up having eczema and it was hell. Also, you might want to look into what caused that, it can often be caused by an allergy.

Change of temperature will do it! See her pediatrician and they will put her on a cream. My son is on cream for 7 days on and 7 days off and on the off days uses lotion. My sons gets worse during the summer.

Bleach baths help me. But make sure you read on it first. You use very little bleach. Its diluted in the bath water and for some reason it really really helps me. Also this is not some strange homeopathic remedy doctors are well aware of this method and depending on her age may or may not recommend this. Def see dermatologist first

I’d try a derm first but I have eczema and no creams from the dr ever helped me. I’m an esthetician and started using a brand we carried at our spa called Epionce- I used their priming oil first and then their medical barrier cream on top. That combo is truly the only thing that has ever helped me. Hope your LO can get some relief soon!

My daughters was terrible, like she had less skin The was unaffected than skin covered in eczema. Only Her face and stomach were clear...plus she’s two, so she scratched the crap out of it to the point of raw, bleeding skin. We waited 4 months to finally get an appt with a paediatric dermatologist, and within two days of starting her meds and skin was completely clear and like a new kid. She has betaderm 0.1% ointment, derma-smoothe oil, protopic and rupall (an oral antihistamine). Not suggesting she needs all of those - but perhaps something there is a good place to start and suggest to your doctor

I have suffered from eczema my entire life also. Mine is induced by stress and allergies now. Definitely, take her to the derm and see if you can do allergy testing since they are both linked. 
I currently use first aid beauty cream and baby Vaseline to seal it in. Also, you have about 2 mins to get lotion on the skin after a bath to insure moisture is locked in.
