When is the best time to have 2nd baby?

I want my children to be close in age and don’t want to feel like I’m “starting over” specially since I only really want to have 2 kids unless the 2nd child is a boy then I might try for a 3rd to get my baby girl lol

This whole post is me. My son had his 17mo birthday yesterday, and I’m 6w with my new baby. My husband insists that this one is a girl because he only wants two... but if it’s not, I really hope he’ll let me try for a girl because I really want one.

No one can really answer that for you. It’s a very personal decision and everyone has different thoughts on this. Generally people do 2-3 years apart though.

We waited 18 months after having our first and then I had my IUD taken out. We got pregnant with baby #2 in like 2 weeks. When she was born, my oldest was 2.5 and it was so perfect. We never left “baby” mentality, but at the same time my oldest was potty trained so we didn’t have two in diapers at the same time. They are extremely close sisters and share a bedroom. 
We had a surprise this summer with our newest baby (due in March), and my girls will be 7 and 4.5 when he’s born. Now I really feel like I’m starting over! But at the same time, my girls are old enough now to really be helpful and understand a lot more about having a new baby around. They’re both really excited.

I plan to start trying when by baby is 9/10 months  because i want them close in age. A 3 year difference I don’t want. Me and my sister and my hubby and his brother are 3 yrs apart and couldn’t get along at all growing up.

Whenever you feel is best time!👌🏾 Our daughter is 15 months and we have no plans of adding to our family anytime soon. However, my husband and I do plan to have one more when our daughter is three or four. We're only having one more. We would like to have a boy the next time, however, we will be done either way lol. Whether it is a boy or girl we are not having any more. That is a personal decision that only you and your husband can make. You two know better than anyone else when the time is right for you.👌🏾
