Happy outcomes after partial placental abruption???
Has anyone had a healthy delivery after a partial placental abruption??
I’m 33+ weeks along, had very light spotting a few days ago with a day full of contractions. Had to go in and have a shot to stop them, monitored baby and things seemed good, no dilation thankfully, didn’t seem to be in preterm labor. Had an ultrasound today to look into it and they found I had a partial placental abruption, so now I have to go in 2x a week for non stress fetal tests and another US to see if the area is healing or changing for better or worse. They don’t have me on bed rest since baby looks great and oxygen/blood to baby looks like it’s great still, thank the Lord. I’ve had three perfect pregnancies and all natural deliveries, so this is unusual and scary for me. Basically they said it looks fine, but be extra cautious and very low threshold for coming in if concerned.
Obviously most important outcome is a healthy baby and mama, and no total abruption, ideally no C-section and full term baby! Just wondering if others have gone on and had vaginal deliveries and healthy outcomes all around after a scare like this??? Thanks for any insights or experiences!!
