What happens at a baby shower?

I’ve been to one and literally don’t remember it 🤦🏻‍♀️ mine is in 3 weeks. What usually goes down and how long do they last? My mother in law is throwing it for me, I just know the date and fine.

Mine was outside at a park and we did a cookout, desserts, some people brought their own dishes, I did mine Co-Ed and BYOB. I opened gifts, are food, thanked everyone for coming, got to catch up with old friends (I invited everyone and their mom.) 
It lasted a couple hours, the weather got nasty. It was so fun though! Haha.

Food, drinks, games, dessert, gifts. I’m not a huge fan but it’s always a special thing to welcome a new baby, in my opinion. All babies should be celebrated! They’re little miracles. ❤️

It depends on the setting, if it’s at a house or a hall it’s a bit more relaxed.  At a restaurant there’s a timed schedule and it’s
A little more stiff (in my opinion).  They typically are 3-4 hours and involve eating, drinking, playing baby games, opening gifts, chatting with your guests etc.  think of it as a birthday party for you. Lol
