No heartbeat on doppler?

Doc couldn't find heartbeat yesterday on the handheld Doppler. He said it was nothing to worry about since I'm only 10 weeks but I'm so worried. Anyone have this happen and it be okay? No negative please!

I’ve heard of this happening a good bit, but I’m surprised he didn’t do an ultrasound since he couldn’t find it on doppler. That definitely could have eased your fears a bit. It’s not unusual to have trouble finding it on doppler that early.

I should note we had an ultrasound two weeks ago, heart rate was 167 then.

I went last week at 10 weeks n doc couldn’t get it. I’ve been trying ever since and couldn’t get it at home yet either. Some women don’t get it with a Doppler until 14-17 weeks. I’m
Also obese which can affect it too. I go this Thursday for a second ultrasound just to make sure the babe is ok

My uterus is tilted backward toward my spine (it’s not an issue, it will just cause extra back pain as the pregnancy progresses). My OB couldn’t find the heartbeat on a Doppler at nearly 13 weeks; she had to do an ultrasound to find it. But it’s there, pumping away at 167 bpm!
If they have trouble finding it, it’s nothing to worry about at all. Could just be where your uterus is in your body, or a sneakypants baby hiding behind the placenta 🙂

This happened to me today. They tried for 20 minutes nothing so we did a ultrasound and there the baby was kicking away.
