EDD - don't worry!
This is not a rant, or a complaint, but meant to help out all the miserable and worried ladies who are nearing their EDD (estimated due date).
It hurts my heart to see so many women trying to induce at home, or planning their lives around this one mystical day which was told to you months ago. I know we are all uncomfortable and miserable and so ready to meet our babies! But trust your body and your baby - they've been communicating since baby was conceived and they know way better than a doctor who looked at your period history and an ultrasound (which can be off on measurements by 20%).
Even if Doc is right at guessing the 40-week mark, only 5% of women give birth on that day. And NOTHING IS WRONG!!! You haven't failed your baby and there's nothing wrong with you.
Remember that baby is developing up until the minute they enter the world, so try to rest and keep up your energy, and be at peace knowing that your baby's lungs, brain, and other organs are being perfected. Not a moment too soon.
If attempts to induce aren't working, it's because baby isn't ready yet. Your labor will be much harder if you try to force or rush this! And synthetic versions of our hormones (pitocin, et al) don't do the job as well of course, because they aren't natural. And please research all the drugs and at-home induction methods before you try things.
Please comment if you want - again I'm not ranting about anyone, and I know some of us are facing medical issues so we don't have a choice on induction. I pray for all of us and our babies! ❤️❤️❤️
