Irrational
I love my SO dearly, but on occasion I get a little frustrated with him. He’s grown up pretty sheltered on his family farm never having strayed more than 300 miles in any direction even in his adult years.
I however have traveled A LOT. I’ve been all over the states and Europe. I love learning about new cultures and exposing my daughter to what the world has to offer.
What’s frustrating for me is my SO is well intolerant to some things that are outside his comfort zone. I’ve been patient and I do try to gently teach him that new doesn’t have to be bad. And I’m usually really good about being kind, but sometimes I’d really like to throttle his neck! I do snap at him sometimes if he makes a mean comment instead of my usual gentle correction. I have noticed though that as long as I keep him comfortable and don’t make him feel like he needs to defend himself he is really receptive to the things I have to teach him.
So he’s not a lost cause just a frustrating one. Honestly I wish I could take him to live overseas as I did. I honestly can’t afford it right now, but if I could I think it’d be a life changing experience for him.
