Rules about dying your hair while pregnant? Can you?

I’ve already colored my hair 3x since pregnant. I worked in a salon for a long time (not a stylist) and everyone always colored their hair , there was never the slightest issue. Just no on the scalp bleach.

Honestly, if you can avoid it then I wouldn’t do it. Many hair dyes contain toluene (linked to birth defects, pregnancy loss, etc), but there’s a million other toxic ingredients that are linked to cancer and other major health issues. It’s bad enough for your own health, but I’d avoid any potential exposure to your unborn baby for sure.

It's fine, just do it in a well ventilated area and do a patch test beforehand, as hair can react differently to dye during pregnancy.

Yes you can.  They technically don't recommend it until the 2nd trimester.  However, regardless, just make sure its well ventilated and all the stuff you probably already know 💖
