Dandruff and hair falling out- early pregnancy symptom?

The past week I have had very bad dandruff and so much of my hair is coming out. I'm 6 weeks exactly today. Anyone else experiencing this?? Is this normal?

Most women stop losing hair when they get pregnant, unfortunately I am not one of them. I loss a ton of hair in the first part of my pregnancy as my body adjusted to the influx of hormones. It's finally slowed down, but I still got a haircut because my ends were looking long and scraggly. Not pretty. Yours should adjust too soon enough.

As far as the dandruff goes, please do not use head and shoulders. I work in the hair industry and I promise you that head and shoulders is quite possibly the worst thing for your hair and scalp. Find a shampoo that contains zinc, which is the best ingredient to combat dandruff. If you have a stylist ask them for a recommendation, and make sure that it's color safe if you color your hair.  If you're not a salon visitor, hit up your local beauty supply and seek out their help. There are plenty of options out there that will take care of the dandruff while being gentle on your already fragile hair. Good luck!

I had this same weird issue. I used selsun blue for the Sandra's and would let conditioner sit in my hair for about 3 or 4 minutes. It helped a lot. My hair has always fallen out but I have a TON of hair!!!
