What month am I?

So I’m 21 weeks pregnant and I read that I’m 5 months and should be 6 months next week but im due 7th June so next month is February and that means I’d have 4 months left which makes 10 months but you’re only pregnant for 9 months can someone please explain!!!

It's off because there are more than 4 weeks in every month except February.

So technically full term pregnancy is 40 weeks and that is 10 months but some women only make it to 9 months so that may be it. 6 months pregnant would be 24 weeks. Hope that helps a little 💕

People say 9 months but in reality it's closer to 10. It's not exact, but if you look at averaging each month having 4 weeks and your pregnant for 40 weeks. 40 weeks / 4 weeks = 10 months.
This is why pregnant women don't speak in months. We speak in weeks because it's less confusing that way. It's non-pregnant people that always ask the months.

It doesnt really work in months but if you do count by months then yes it 10 months not 9 :) You can use it to round if you want, when I do that I just count back from my due date. So if you're due in June you'd be 4 months.

So right now you're at the end of your 5th month. Next week you start your 6th month but you won't actually BE 6 months pregnant until you've completed the whole month. Think of it like birthdays, when your baby is 18 months old they are in their second year of life but they don't actually turn 2 until they are a full 24 months old. Pregnancy is closer to 9 months than 10. You can't just divide 40weeks by 4 weeks per month and say pregnancy is 10 months because all months except February are longer than 4 weeks. 4 times 7= 28, every month except February has 30 or 31 days.
