How to get baby to sleep alone/on back?

My little guy is 3 weeks old. Lately I can only get him to sleep if he's on his belly or in my arms or on my chest. Anyone know of some good ways to get him to fall asleep in his bassinet on his back?

Obviously not the safest but I finally gave in and just let her sleep on her stomach. We tried swaddling. We tried a noise machine. Which her white noise is now the box fan my husband sleeps with 🤦🏼‍♀️ we tried using one of those projectors to see if she would fall asleep watching it. Tried using a wedge under her crib. The last 3 nights we let her sleep on her belly and it was the best nights weve had. Shes 6 weeks old.

I had the same problem. We tried everything! My little girl sleeps on her front now. (She's just under 4 months) and has done since she was 8 weeks.

Do you swaddle?

He might be gassy. My baby always woke up on his back because his tummy hurts. Try some exercises to let them out. Keep trying to get him to sleep on his back.

Swaddling or just lay him down after he falls asleep and maybe try some sort of white noise machine too. Its all about what you get them used to and the transitions might take a little while.
