No heartbeat?

I’m 11.4 and went to the hospital yesterday for some cramping after moving furniture. And they weren’t able to find a heartbeat with the little handheld doppler. 
They (3 different drs) tried to reassure me baby is probably fine. Saying it’s kind of hit and miss to hear that early on the handheld.
Who else has been through where they haven’t been able to hear it ? I had a strong heartbeat of 176 at 8 weeks, and baby measured 2 days ahead as well.

I’m same doc can’t hear on Doppler but with my have pains I went to er day before yesterday to reassure myself and baby was fine but Doppler won’t pick it up yet

This happened to me yesterday at my appt. they had to do and ultrasound and we saw baby kicking.

They should still do an ultrasound to check. Its known it can be hard to find it right away but I got lucky and found mine at 10 weeks 4 days but I tried again and cant find it so it is more difficult for sure.

I’m 11w5d and saw my doctor at 11w3d. She used the Doppler and we were able to hear the baby moving around and catch the heart beat for a second. It read 175 bpm. She said it can be tough to catch it for much longer at this stage, I wouldn’t worry!

They normally say you cant use the doppler til 12 to 13 weeks because its a hit or miss until then they should of done a follow up Ultrasound of they couldnt find it.

I did that and the ultrasound worked when the doppler didnt

It’s hard to get the heartbeat on the Doppler that early. I wouldn’t worry!

At my 11 week appointment my dr warned me he might not be able to find it.   I think it also depends on the placement of the placenta.  I’m sure with an anterior placenta it might be more difficult to pick up.  It’s so faint already and still pretty much behind the pubic bone.
I am 12w4d today and have notice just this week that it’s been much easier to find and higher up.  I have a posterior placenta so that isn’t blocking the way either.
