“Settling”

Well there settling down and then there’s settling for someone/something. One is just taking the next step in a relationship and the other is taking the easy way out or rushing into something. Our society definitely pressures us to do both, but I think it’s best to actually take things slow and actually get to know each other and trust each other before settling down and I feel like nobody does that, especially people on this app. Don’t settle for second best, but if you’re ready and confident and like stable in your relationship then settle down if and when you and your partner are ready. Fuck our society’s standards! You do you and don’t worry about what everyone else is doing or expects you to be doing. Just today my mom was asked when I’m getting married because me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 4 years, but like we don’t want to get married for a while. Neither of us our ready for that. We’re still working on ourselves.
