Does anyone share a room with their baby!?

Question

So baby #3 on the way...we have two other kids girl and boy in their own rooms. We won’t know the gender but either way will be in our room for the first year. Our other two kids were in their own rooms since day 1. What can I expect with sharing a room? I’m so used to having music for our other kids at night but I’m a light sleeper so can’t do it this time. Is age 1 too young to go into a siblings room? Thanks

I will be sharing a room with my baby in a couple of more weeks and by boys share a room together this baby will be a girl and we don’t want to put her in the room with a bunch of boys so she has her own side in our room

I’m coming from a curious place not wanting to sound judgy.
But what made you decide to keep baby in your room for a year?

I have a similar situation and decided to keep baby with us until he's sleeping through the night (with our other kids this has been anywhere from 8-12 weeks so hoping he cooperates!) and then move him to his 4 year old brother's room. I had my last two babies in my room for the first several months and I am also a light sleeper. It was really hard for me to get any sleep even when baby was sleeping because anytime baby moved, breathed funny, etc, I was thinking that he/she was about to wake up. 
I don't think a year is too young to have your baby room with a sibling as long as you've got a baby monitor to keep tabs, especially if your kids are young and don't understand fully how to be safe around baby.

I’m doing the same, though our situation is a little different, we have the space however the room closest to ours is occupied/claimed by my 2.5 year old & I don’t want to kick him out just because we decided to have another kid. 
As other commenters have said, by 1 your older kids should be used to baby & know how to safely interact, also baby will probably be sleeping through the night which will help in not disturbing their siblings sleep. Get a monitor at that point just for peace of mind.

It's recommended to keep baby in your room until age 1anyway! It'll be a strange adjustment but I found it so much easier than going back and forth while they have so many needs so early.  By the time they reach that point, your older children will be comfortable enough around the baby to room share safely
