When to tell parents?

Hi everyone,
Just a curious question. How long did you wait to tell both sets of parents? Immediately or after first scan?

I was too excited I invited them over for dinner and told them at almost 7 weeks. With a cake

Then I found out 3 weeks later I was having twins 😃

We told my parents immediately, just because we’re closer with them and I talk to my mom about everything, but waited until our 8 week ultrasound to tell my in-laws.

I was also too excited that I couldn’t wait. I told my parents at 6 weeks.

I tricked my parents - we did IVF and my mom was supposed to give me injections for my transfer but we lied about the date and my husband did them.. I waited until my 6 week appt so I would have an ultrasound (even though the baby was a dot)!

We waited til after my first scan at 7 weeks. And told the rest of our siblings then too. Then we told non-immediate family around 12/13 weeks (because most of us were together) and the rest of the world around 18 weeks

Immediately with both of my pregnancies with my first one I lost and currently pregnant with the second 🙏🏼 the support was amazing and I needed it during that time. Plus I cant hid it from the family we all like to have fun and drink and I haven’t been 🤦🏻‍♀️

I texted both of them a picture of my positive at home test hours after I took it. I knew if anything went wrong I would need their support and they were both over the moon. The hard part for them was keeping the secret for all that time.
