I just seen a facebook post saying if you have a scheduled csection, breastfeeding will not work out for the baby. Is this true??

I’ve had two cesareans scheduled at 39 weeks and first baby nursed for 13 months and second baby I nursed for 22 months. Neither of them had one single drop of formula. It’s all about putting them to the breast immediately afterwards as soon as you can and letting them nurse very frequently. Milk always takes a few days to come in. Do your research. I think some people expect it right away and that’s just not realistic.

Not true. I have a few friends who ended up having scheduled c-sections due to various complications, and they all have breastfed.

No. I had a semi-scheduled c-section (one day notice) and breastfed. Breastfeeding was the only part that went right.
