When do doctors confirm?

I just found out Friday after work I am pregnant! Blazing bright positive. So, I couldn’t call my doctor cause the office was closed and closed on weekends. So I’ll be calling tomorrow...will she ask for a blood test in order to find out how far along I am/average weeks of pregnancy...? 
Also, when are the first ultrasounds “typically”? Right now I believe I am 4 weeks at most, and at the least, 3 weeks. 
It’s early!! But it’s dark!!

They typically only do blood tests if you have a history of miscarriages.  Most of the time, they schedule you for 8-10w based on your LMP.

Im on my third pregnancy and I have never had a blood pregnancy test. Plus hcg is not the best predictor of how far along you are. A dating ultrasound would do a much better job. The ultrasound is normally done between 8-10w.

They will go off of your last period right now. You wont get an appointment until around 8 weeks

Typically first ultrasounds are around eight weeks and they go by your last period before that. They might just schedule you for your ultrasound and no start appointment. They don’t usually do blood work unless you request, and their ‘confirmation’ is just you peeing on their stick.
