Pregnant but legally married . Will ex be able to have parental rights?

( I live in Uk)
Wanted a divorce almost 4 years ago.
Ex refused to divorce me.
He lives seperatly, legally seperated no bills in each other’s name etc.
In the uk you can’t divorce when the other person doesn’t agree till year 5.
I’m pregnant with doner sperm. ( Been with my gf 3 years.
It came up today that legally any children created in marriage whether biologically his or not he is considered the farther.
Even if I don’t include his name on the birth certificate.
I’ve contacted lawyers but no ones got back to me yet ..
The person who told me this said they are not sure if this was still the case but it was years ago..
I don’t know what implication this has! 
Don’t judge me for getting with someone else while married he has a gf too we are in no way together he is just stubborn and doesn’t want his family to know his marriage didn’t work.

Idk who told you this but they’re an idiot. That literally CANT happen. He has no rights to a child that is biologically not his. Doesn’t matter if you’re married or not. That baby is from a DONOR, not him.

My wife and I live in Michigan... We had split for a few months when she became pregnant since we were married I was the legal parent the father went to court to get rights and was denied bc the child was conceived and born during a marriage I was put on the birth certificate it took a few months bc since we were gay no one knew what to do the state of Michigan called us several times telling us they had to go thru so many people trying to figure out what to do in the long run they said we had the same rights as a heterosexual couple and I was put on the birth certificate...... I know how frustrating this can all be just keep making calls to whoever u can someone will have an answer for you! Best of luck to you!

I can speak from US family law. And unfortunately this is the case for a lot of US states. But I really don’t know UK law. In some states in the US they will even deny divorce (they ask if you are pregnant under perjury) until the baby is born PLUS a waiting period. Waiting periods are common if there are children involved. Typically a year. I think it’s important to ignore what your friends are saying and research the law specifically until you get a return call from an attorney.

This will sound horrible, but when I broke it off with my ex husband (which was years in the making), I had fallen madly in love with someone and ended up pregnant that year. I wasn't even able to file for divorce until I was almost 7 months pregnant and he knew I was. But he already knew it wasn't his and I didnt put it on my paperwork. Lying about it was probably bad but we hadn't been intimate in over a year or 2 before, so no way in hell was he the father. And I really just wanted to be disconnected from him and move on.
