Planning to slow work schedule?

With a twin pregnancy we will experience increased symptoms and a faster growing belly. Do you plan to start decreasing your work hours at some point? Is this decision a doctor recommendation or personal choice?

I think it depends on the type of work you do, and your pregnancy. I happened to switch to part time at work just before I found out I was pregnant (not a multiple pregnancy), and it's been fantastic through my easy pregnancy. I do a lot of moving around at work, so this last trimester only working 3 days a week has been the perfect balance of being out of the house and moving around while still being able to rest/take care of the house 2 days a week.

I wanted to work as long as possible but I only made it to 26 weeks. I'm a nurse & I work 4 days a week 10 hour shifts. At my appointment last week my cervix was shortening so they put me on leave starting yesterday.

I want to wait as long as possible however I'm now 23 weeks and finding it increasingly difficult to do my job. I work retail on my feet and both babies are transverse really low. I find myself hobbling in pain after a couple hours of running around. I'm not ready to stop completely but I think I'm gonna have to go to half days. I'm going to ask my ob for a restrictions note at my next appt.

I am having twins, currently 31 weeks! I am a waitress, I am still on my feet 4 days a week, though it's getting difficult. Here soon I will be stopping... All of the Braxton hicks work causes are not worth it!!
